That’s exactly what Harry’s House gives you - presence. The kind that’s rare these days. Sit in the sunshine streaming through those beautiful art deco windows and suddenly everything softens, slows, settles. Presence becomes abundant.

Built in the 1940s by local legend Harry Martyr - founder of Martyr Bus Services (he even has a mural in town, and street named after him) - the cottage carries a slice of Warburton history. When Wayne Colomb and Steph Callen purchased it in 2022, what they found was, in their words, “an old (pretty tired and run down) little deco cottage right in the heart of town and right across from the Yarra River – the perfect location.”

Wayne saw its potential instantly. He knew he could bring the home back to life, giving it the glow‑up it deserved while keeping every bit of its quirky charm. And so, Harry’s House was born.

Nestled in the heart of Warburton, just steps from the Yarra River and surrounded by trees, Harry’s House is the kind of place that invites you to slow down. When asked what a perfect morning there looks like, Wayne paints a picture: a long walk along the Yarra trail with dog Benji, a stop at @silvacoffee for what he swears is the best coffee and savoury brekky in town, then back to Harry’s House to bask in the sunlight pouring through those iconic windows.
