Jasmina Grosser, founder of Last Light Images, approaches every shoot with a simple philosophy, no expectations, no forcing a moment. She lets things unfold naturally, creating space for real connection and a deeper understanding of the people in front of her lens. It’s this gentle, intuitive approach that allows her to capture not just a photograph, but the truth of a person and the moment they’re in.

You can feel this in her work. Each image carries a mood , a quiet emotion, a subtle shift in light, a sense of movement even in stillness. Looking at her photographs feels like stepping into the moment alongside her subjects.

Jasmina’s love for photography began in high school and university, drawn to the quiet beauty of abandoned buildings and landscapes. Working in low light, she learned to create atmosphere and emotion. As her life evolved, so did her work. Now a mother, she’s drawn to the intimate moments shared between families, especially mothers and their children. As she says, “Our work is always a reflection of who we are at the time we’re producing it, even when we’re telling other people’s stories.”

A local of the Dandenong Ranges, Jasmina often finds inspiration in its shifting light and landscape , a backdrop woven into much of her work. Photography, for her, is more than preserving memories. It’s about noticing the beauty in ordinary moments and giving them space to breathe.

“I want my work to feel alive,” she says. “To evoke something personal — a memory, a feeling, a scent, a song.”
